It is one of the low cloud like thick stratus cloud and the height ranges from low cloud middle cloud. Most of the sky is covered with dark cloud. It is accompanied by large-scale rainfall. When the rain is suspended, it can even split into several layers and then can merge quickly. Hence, the nimbostratus may accompanied by fragment stratus or cumulus clouds
